How To Begin:
Warning: This site is under construction.
I am recounting one of my long road trips, as a pastor, a few years back. As us women are notorious for, I, all of a sudden in the middle of 'nowhere' had an urgent need to find a restroom. As we were driving and I was agonizing and making it 'known' to my husband, we caught glimpse of a newly constructed convenience store, just up ahead of us! Yeah! Now, when I say newly constructed, I mean, this place was just the 'guts' and that's it! Construction workers were all over the facility, the shelves (what few there were) were empty and walls were missing. This was a high end franchise but in spite of that, I must admit it felt very strange walking in and asking for a restroom. They were serving customers, though. I was somewhat taken back by that but...I was really glad that they just 'happened' to be doing that - that day, right then!
All that, just to say that these sites of mine, remind me of that incident. I know it's strange, browsing around a site where things are not in proper order yet. My thought is though, that these are days when some things that we need to be saying, we need to be saying 'right now'! It's just like that day, back at the convenience store, 'It can't wait!'
So...if you are walking through my sites, I hope that you will use them, even as I used that facility that day. And then leave feeling the same as I did, 'I want to go back and see it, when it's finished'.
For now, if you click on the pictures at the left, they will enlarge so that you can read them. (Quite large!) Each page will have to be clicked separately and I know what an inconvenience that will be to you but...it is accessible. So, you choose if you want to 'go there' now, or wait until it's 'completed'.
I hope you'll try it. Leave comments, as well. And remember, we're only beginning and all the bugs will be worked out soon! (You just have to live outside the box once in awhile).
Love These Tools!
It's so great to have these 'new avenues' of communication and to have them engineered to reach the masses!
My feelings about these sites are the equivalent of walking into an 'empty room'. Those who know me well, know exactly what that truly means. 'Stand back, get out of the way, she'll be doing her thing!' Decorating! Filling every nook and cranny and then some. I'll try to restrain myself and be very orderly on these sites, although, I think it's probably too late for that already. I know that I probably need to do a 'redo' on the main page. It's going to take some time. I'm working on several projects, simultaneously and solo, as well.
In spite of that I am 'rubbing my hands together' right now - getting stirred up - to go with this. And though I may be speaking of it in a light manner, I do take this site (as well as every other I may end up having) very seriously. Any time we share the gospel, it's a serious matter. Not that we have to be so formal in our addresses, however, the gospel is weighty and much responsibility and accountability is attached to it's very simple message.
I approach everything I do, in Him, with that statement as my standard. I want to know for myself, that you can trust me, as a minister of the most precious thing in the world - the gospel of Jesus Christ.
My hopes and prayers are that these sites will either lead you to Him or deepen what you already have with Him. I would love to have feedback and we'll have to take all of this a step at a time to see exactly how it will evolve.
